I’ve wanted to learn ASL for as long as I can remember. Public schools managed to teach me the alphabet when I was young, but really, what good is knowing your ABC’s if you don’t know how to put them together to make words, phrases, sentences?
My daughter joined an ASL club at her high school last year and would bring what she was learning home and share it with the family. We were all having fun learning and using this new skill. Unfortunately, life happened. The club at school eventually evaporated after a few months and our “lessons” dropped off.
Today, I found a resource that I plan to take full advantage of. Sign Language 101.
I can’t wait to dive in, and start signing again with the family; and maybe you, as well.
